Day 5
Did some Christmas shopping today, so we inadvertantly heard some Christmas music, but there's not much I could do about that. I spent the day with my wife, so not having music wasn't as big of a deal, although we put up our Christmas tree, and we usually play Christmas music when we do that. Not much else to say about today.

Day 4
Day 4 of no music. I played the drums for a little while today, I guess that's as close as I can get to music. I wrote part of my script for my scriptwriting class, but found that I didn't want to write for very long. It seems like it's a lot easier to write with music, but maybe that's only because I always do it that way. I miss music, I need some My Morning Jacket, Radiohead, or R.E.M. Not much else happened today. I just hope I can handle no music until next Tuesday.

Day 2 slash 3
I posted on Wednesday before midnight, so I'm going to consider this my post for days two AND three. Yesterday was day two (Thanksgiving) and the drive to and from work was, again, interminable. I only drove about fifteen minutes both ways, but it seemed to take a lot longer than that. The wife and I went to my parents' house for dinner, and I was able to take advantage of music on TV being a totally different media and listen to part of a Pink Floyd concert my dad was watching on TV. I got to hear Comfortably Numb, so that should hold me for a while. I've noticed that while I'm driving without music, I tend to think a little more than when I'm listening to music. Usually I sing along, so that's what my attention is focused on. Not that thinking more is necessarily good, I'd rather be listening to music. It was basically just an observation. I would actually be listening to music right now as I'm typing this too. I have to start working on a script for my Scriptwriting class, and that's going to be torture. I ALWAYS listen to music when I'm writing or working on the computer for an extended period of time. I'm not looking forward to that at all.

Day 1
Driving to and from work with no music is not fun, especially coming home from work. I work in retail and this time of year sucks, it's nice to be able to listen to some mellow music on the way home from work. At first I thought this wouldn't be a huge deal, a week without music, but I think it's going to be tough. Especially when I hear crap music on tv commercials. That makes me want to listen to my music even more.
